Saving teeth with science

About

Endocator

Mission

The mission of the Endocator is to give dentists an affordable, rapid, and reliable tool to determine when a root canal is free of debris and is and ready to be filled.

The custom Endocator device and Endotesters were created and modified through constant feedback and testing. The end result is an easy to use tool that takes minimal chairside time, minimal training, and minimal equipment.

Quality

The Endocator has several features to ensure accuracy. It is self-calibrating and can detect when one of the doors is not closed all the way so that background light does not distort the sample. Its unique chemistry can handle trace amounts of the disinfectants that may remain in the canals. Finally, its chemistry is shelf stable at room temperature for several days allowing the dentist to take several out of refrigeration without having to worry about any chemical degradation.

Founder

Randolph Cross DDS

Randolph Cross graduated Magna Cum with a Molecular Biology and Biochemistry degree and worked in the biotech field before going to dental school then endodontic residency. When completing his root canals Dr. Cross tested various methods to determine when root canals were clean. After looking at several technologies Dr. Cross developed a biomarker formula based on the science of detecting ATP inside of a root canal. Dr. Cross is currently a practicing Endodontist and uses ATP testing on virtually all of his root canals.
